Stacey Abrams Caught Red Handed… Can’t Hide It Now…

Candidate for Georgia’s governor and strong proponent of masks Stacey Abrams angrily defended a recent photo of her posed maskless during a visit to an Atlanta elementary school after it was widely criticized.

In an Instagram post, Abrams’ campaign called any criticism of her “false political attack,” which was followed by a counter-attack on the reputation of Abrams’ opponents.

‘It is shameful that our opponents are using a Black History Month reading event for Georgia children as the impetus for a false political attack,’ the statement proclaimed.

‘And it is pitiful and predictable that our opponents continue to look for opportunities to distract from their failed records when it comes to protecting public health during the pandemic.’

‘One of Stacey’s opponents downplayed the virus while trading stock to profit off the pandemic after his private coronavirus briefings as a Senator.’

‘Another of her opponents attacked mayors seeking to protect their citizens and has failed to expand access to Medicaid even as rural hospitals close. This pathetic, transparent and silly attack is beneath anyone who claims he wants to lead Georgia.’

During a visit to an Atlanta elementary school last week, Abrams shared a picture of herself on Twitter that showed her without a mask among dozens of children forced to wear protective face coverings – ignoring her own call for mask mandates.

Despite being branded a ‘mask fascist’ on Twitter, Abrams retweeted the photo of her visit to Glenwood Elementary School on Friday and then deleted it.

Recently, the 48-year-old Democrat called Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp ‘incompetent’ for preventing local mask mandates.

Masks are recommended indoors and outdoors in Georgia. Kemp sought to abolish local mask laws last summer. Cities such as Atlanta, Savannah, Macon, and Athens have now reinstated citywide mandates after his order was relaxed last fall.

Kemp condemned his rival on Twitter ahead of a likely showdown with Abrams in the fall.

‘Stacey Abrams wants state government mask mandates for Georgians and their children. But it looks like they wouldn’t apply when she’s attending a photo op,’ he posted.

In addition to the controversy, Democratic leaders have been scrutinized for failing to follow the same draconian COVID-19 guidelines they have preached throughout the pandemic.

Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez informed the public in January that she contracted COVID-19 after being photographed going mask-free to a Miami drag brunch. Several New York politicians have been photographed dodging New York’s mask mandate, including its governor and Sen. Kirstin Gillibrand.

The governor of California, Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti and mayor of San Francisco London Breed was seen breaking the mask mandates they put in place during the NFL championship game in Los Angeles last week.

Dr. Holly Brookins, the school’s principal, originally posted the photo of the smiling Abrams, saying she had read Stacey’s Extraordinary Words to the class for Black History Month.

‘Spending time with Glennwood’s amazing students, faculty and staff ranks as spectacular, delightful and outstanding,’ Abrams posted on Twitter.

A social media backlash forced Abrams to delete the controversial photo.

‘Confirmation, if any were needed, that Stacey Abrams is a member of the Democratic elite in good standing—mask hypocrisy is practically a status symbol now,’ Rich Lowry, editor of the National Review, responded to Abrams on Twitter.

Attorney and media personality Clay Travis posted: ‘The number of left wing politicians who post photos posing without masks while all the kids around them are wearing masks is stunning. Here is Stacey Abrams doing it. This is child abuse.’

Travis continued blasting Abrams over the following days noting that she is obese and much more at risk than the children.

Alex Johnson of Politico suggested that the picture would come back to haunt Abrams during Georgia’s gubernatorial election this fall.

‘Have a feeling this photo – which Abrams promoted on her own account – of her appearing maskless surrounded by kids in masks is gonna be in a lot of ads this fall,’ Johnson wrote.

‘Are these little children forced to wear masks to protect @StaceyAbrams?’ talk radio host Larry O’Connor posted.

‘What kind of cruel monster makes little children cover their faces so they can have a photo op without fear of viral infection? If you’re so afraid that you make kids wear masks around you, stay home!,’ he continued.

There were 272,046 new cases of COVID infection in Georgia last week, a dramatic drop from the weekly record of 695,048 recorded between Jan 10–Jan 16, 2022, as the milder Omicron variant declines nationally.

Abrams is the most recent Democratic leader to be involved in controversy after she was accused of failing to wear a mask.

Californians were outraged last week after several of its top leaders – including Governor Newsom, Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti, and San Francisco Mayor Breed – were caught on camera without masks during a championship NFL game.

At the Jan. 30 game pitting the Los Angeles Rams against the San Francisco 49ers, the hypocritical Democrats posed barefaced for photographs with former NBA player Magic Johnson inside a box suite at the SoFi Stadium.
