‘War Room: Battleground,’ is the title of the special edition, premiering on the John Fredericks Radio Network on March 7. An hour-long show, airing 6 to 7 p.m. every weekday, will give Trump-aligned candidates maximum exposure. With a focus on local elections, the show will air in radio markets that feature some of the most competitive races this year, including Pennsylvania and Georgia.

“We think there’s an opportunity to literally destroy the Democratic Party as it currently exists in the November elections this year,” Bannon told reporters in an interview. “It’s a definite platform for MAGA and for America First. It’s the hyper-local version of the War Room.”

Although Bannon doesn’t want to personally endorse candidates, he wants to expose MAGA candidates through radio, streaming, and digital means.

“The Republican establishment is just totally fearful of the populist Trump movement now taking over institutions,” he proclaimed.

There will be appearances from MAGA candidates across the country. A special focus will be placed on the Republican primaries and the governorship and secretary of state races. In addition, the show will air interviews with candidates for county supervisor, county judge, local election officials, as well as for school boards and Republican Party committees.

“We know the hyper-local strategies resonate with people because they’re volunteering like crazy,” Bannon told reporters. “Now we’re basically giving them air cover with both radio streaming and web news services to back it up and, quite frankly, make these people stars.”

Additionally, Bannon is collaborating with Star News Network, a conservative digital outlet with a focus on hyper-local news that currently operates in 11 cities including Philadelphia, Florida, and Arizona. Star News Networks’ reporters will be hosted by the War Room daily, and the two platforms will work jointly to curate the editorial content.

As of now, Bannon has already established himself as a leading figure in conservative radio. His show, War Room, debuted in fall 2019 to defend Trump against the ongoing impeachment proceedings. Bannon continues to attract conservative followers after an ugly 2017 fallout with Trump. These followers are opposed to critical race theory being taught in schools and vaccine mandates and are also very vocal about fraud in the last election.
