The scheduling of Fox News has left one rotating presenter of “The Five” perplexed.
Geraldo Rivera informed his Twitter followers on Thursday that his scheduled appearances on the panel program on Thursday and Friday had been canceled.
“My appearances today and tomorrow on The Five have been canceled. I’m sure there’s a good reason,” he said.
Rivera added that his return to the program was imminent.
“Never fear, I’ll be back week after next. Stay safe and happy. Thanks.”

Following the dismissal of Tucker Carlson, the prime-time presenter who had become the face of the conservative-leaning cable network, Fox News has been plagued by ambiguity.
There is no evidence that Rivera’s scheduling error and Carlson’s departure are connected.
After his abrupt termination, “The Five” co-host Greg Gutfeld briefly mentioned Tucker Carlson in an awkward segment broadcast after his dismissal.

Gutfeld and Rivera exchanged icy tweets after Rivera criticized Carlson’s rhetoric regarding the Capitol invasion shortly after Carlson’s firing.
“I don’t wish ill on anybody, but there is no doubt-as I said at the time-Tucker Carlson’s perverse January 6 conspiracy theory was ‘bulls***,’” Rivera said.
Gutfeld responded with a sarcastic jab at his colleague.
“You’re a class act Geraldo. A real man of the people,” he said.
