Disclosures of congressional financial information show that Paul Pelosi has made tens of millions of dollars trading stocks through the years, while his wife has remained one of the most powerful politicians in this country throughout that time.
It has led to speculation of criminal insider trading by the duo.
Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley stated back in January, “Year after year, politicians somehow manage to outperform the market, buying and selling millions in stocks of companies they’re supposed to be regulating. Wall Street and Big Tech work hand-in-hand with elected officials to enrich each other at the expense of the country…”
In more recent news, the Speaker’s husband was arrested for DUI over the weekend.
CBS News reported:
Paul Pelosi, the husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, was arrested for alleged drunk driving after a two-vehicle collision in their home state of California late Saturday, according to the California Highway Patrol and court records.
CHP said Pelosi, 82, was driving a 2021 Porsche that was hit by 2014 Jeep as Pelosi’s car tried to cross a state road in Napa County. Pelosi was booked into the Napa County Detention Center on two DUI-related counts.
He was released Sunday morning on $5,000 bail, court records show.
No one was hurt and the Jeep’s driver wasn’t arrested, CHP added
According to a statement from a representative for Pelosi, he was attending a dinner party at the home of friends in Oakville. He left that party at 10:15 p.m. to drive home, which the statement described as “a short distance away.” Pelosi was alone in his car, the statement said.
Since the accident, reporters have done a little digging into Paul’s past. And now it’s resurfaced that Pelosi’s husband is a killer.
The New York Post is reporting:
Nancy Pelosi’s husband killed his older brother when he flipped his sports car in California — 65 years before he was arrested over the weekend and charged with drunk driving, newspaper clippings show.
Paul Pelosi was 16 when he crashed his car near San Mateo in the early hours of Feb. 22, 1957, the Daily Mail reported, citing a local news report from the time.
His brother, David Pelosi, 19, was likely strangled by a neck brace he had been wearing due to a previous neck fracture, according to the San Francisco Examiner report.
Paul, who suffered a broken collarbone in the wreck, called for help after breaking free from his car, the report said.
Highway Patrolman Thomas Ganley told the local outlet at the time that Paul said his older brother had urged him to slow down in the moments before the crash.
‘This is a bad stretch – better slow down,’ David allegedly said to his younger brother before approaching a tight curve on California State Route 35, near Crystal Springs Dam.
Patrolman Thomas Ganley spoke with Paul, who tried to slow down by shifting gears but lost control of the stick-shift sports car.
‘The car veered across the road, bounced back from a small embankment, climbed 20 feet up another, spun around and somersaulted simultaneously and ended upside down on the shoulder with both youths underneath,’ according to the Examiner at the time.
The accident occurred at 2:40 in the morning on February 22, 1957. After picking up his brother from a girlfriend’s house in San Francisco, Paul decided to take the two on a joyride instead of going straight home.
A college freshman, David Pelosi, was already dead when he was transported to the hospital.
It was reported that a neck brace David was wearing to support a neck fracture he sustained when he jumped into shallow water in Lake Tahoe may have strangled him.
According to the San Mateo Times, Ganley and another patrolman, Jack Rakestraw, stated that David’s brace was ‘lodged tightly against his neck.’
‘They jacked up the car to relieve the pressure but the youth apparently was already dead,’ according to the Times.
He suffered a broken collarbone in the accident and spent time trapped under the car. Eventually, he freed himself and called for help.
His most recent citations in 2011 were for running a red light and crossing over the center line.
Paul’s accident occurred six years before his marriage to Nancy D’Alesandro, the daughter of a former Baltimore mayor. She went on to become the first female Speaker of the House of Representatives following her election to Congress in 1987.

Paul Pelosi, responded through a spokesperson Sunday night to reports of his arrest in Napa County, California, for driving under the influence over the holiday weekend.
Instead of the 82-year-old real-estate multimillionaire and venture capitalist taking responsibility, spokesperson Larry Kamer took aim at “incorrect information” in mysterious news reports.
“Several news reports about Saturday night’s traffic incident involving Paul Pelosi have included incorrect information,” Kamer said in a statement.
Kamer did not say what the incorrect information was.
