The reports indicating that President Biden would not be held accountable for the charges arising from the special counsel investigation into his handling of classified documents were harshly criticized by President Trump. On Friday morning, Trump voiced his dissatisfaction via social media, where he condemned what he considers to be “prosecutorial misconduct.”
On Thursday, the Wall Street Journal published an initial report indicating that Special Counsel Robert Hur is expected to assemble a substantial report regarding the conduct of President Biden. Nonetheless, the mere possibility exists that this report will result in the indictment of criminals.
Presently facing criminal charges in the state of Florida concerning a case involving confidential materials, Trump vented his ire on the social media platform Truth Social, where he condemned what he considers to be “selective prosecution.”
“WOW! FAKE NEWS CNN, THROUGH A LEAK FROM THE DEPARTMENT OF INJUSTICE, HAS JUST REPORTED THAT NO CHARGES WILL BE FILED IN THE (MUCH BIGGER THAN MINE!!!) CROOKED JOE BIDEN DOCUMENTS CASE. WE ARE LIVING IN A VERY CORRUPT COUNTRY!” Trump posted.
He added:
“SELECTIVE PROSECUTION!!!”
In its article about Hur’s objectives, CNN referenced “two sources close to investigation”
Hur was assigned in January to conduct an inquiry into the matter concerning Biden following the identification of documents originating from his vice presidential era in both his Wilmington, Delaware, office and place of residence.
CNN reports that Hur’s team has informed Justice Department leadership of their intention to complete the report by the end of the current calendar year. Nevertheless, it is critical to acknowledge that this anticipated duration is susceptible to possible adjustments.
Hur conducted an interview with President Biden in early October, following the identification of documents by authorities that were obtained during the administration’s transition from the previous term in November to the current one. Biden has maintained a steadfast stance of innocence, and his team has consistently emphasized that upon uncovering the documents, his legal representatives expeditiously notified the Justice Department and actively cooperated with it.
Advocates of Biden argue that his proactive stance offers a notable contrast to the conduct of Trump, which has led to the indictment of Trump by special counsel Jack Smith.
It has been claimed that individuals affiliated with President Trump participated in misleading activities with investigators and have been charged with concealing relevant records from various federal organizations.
As per reports, the National Archives allegedly notified the Justice Department regarding former President Trump’s possession of more than 300 classified documents after his re-election. In August of the same year, the Federal Bureau of Investigation ultimately conducted a search at his Mar-a-Lago estate in response to this notification.
The commencement of the trial pertaining to the Mar-a-Lago classified materials case, which involves former President Trump, has been set for May 2024. Nevertheless, there are signs that Judge Aileen Cannon may be considering the likelihood of postponing the trial until the aftermath of the 2024 election.
A judge of the New York Court of Appeals temporarily stayed the restraining order that Judge Arthur Engoron had placed on former President Donald Trump on Thursday.
The prohibition order that Judge Engoron had imposed was postponed when Appellate Judge David Friedman, invoking President Trump’s First Amendment rights, intervened.
“Considering the constitutional and statutory rights at issue an interim stay is granted,” Judge Friedman ruled.
In response to an emergency lawsuit filed by Trump’s legal team on Wednesday, the decision was rendered. As a result of the restraining orders, the lawsuit argues that Judge Arthur Engoron’s ability to impartially determine the case’s facts is called into question.
Late in October, Trump was called to testify by Judge Engoron in regard to his severe criticism of the previous administration and accusations that his statements to the media violated the embargo order. In addition, Trump was assessed a $10,000 monetary penalty.
Democratic Party of America attorney general Letitia James of New York, whom Trump has accused of being prejudiced toward whites and who espouses socialist principles, is seeking $250 million in compensatory damages in a lawsuit against President Trump.
Victims are not present within the framework of this fraudulent investigation. Furthermore, the Attorney General of New York is endeavoring to impose a prohibition on the business activities of Donald Trump and his sons within the state of New York for the foreseeable future.
Following the rescinding of the restraining order, Trump responded on Truth Social to the recent ruling against Judge Engoron.
“Judge Arthur Engoron has just been overturned (stayed!) by the New York State Appellate Division (Appeals Court), for the 4th TIME (on the same case!). His Ridiculous and Unconstitutional Gag Order, not allowing me to defend myself against him and his politically biased and out of control, Trump Hating Clerk, who is sinking him and his Court to new levels of LOW, is a disgrace,” Trump posted.
“They are defending the Worst and Least Respected Attorney General in the United States, Letitia James, who is a Worldwide disgrace, as is her illegal Witch Hunt against me. The Radical and Unprecedented actions of Judge Engoron will keep BUSINESSES and JOBS forever out of New York State,” he continued.
