Former president Donald Trump delivered a speech at his Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey on June 13, 2023. During this time, Trump refused to back down and vowed to “take back our country.”
On the same day, a Trump War Room post was made on Twitter, quoting Trump; “On November 5th, 2024, justice will be done. We will take back our country, and we will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN.”

Trump continued on. “Hillary Clinton broke the law, and she didn’t get indicted. Joe Biden broke the law — and in many other ways we’re finding out — and so far has not gotten indicted. I did everything right and they indicted me,” he added. He further said: “Joe Biden will forever be remembered as not only the most corrupt president in the history of our country, but perhaps, even more importantly, the president who, together with a band of his closest thugs, misfits, and Marxists, tried to destroy American democracy.”
Trump, however, pled not guilty in court to all thirty-seven counts of alleged’mishandling’ of classified information. One hundred thirty-one additional counts are related to the Espionage Act, and one hundred thirty-eight additional counts are related to Trump’s post-presidential aide, Walt Nauta.
Trump exited the restaurant and posted on his own social media platform, Truth Social, “Thank you Miami. Such a warm welcome on such a SAD DAY for our Country!”
Trump supporters flooded the area surrounding the federal courthouse in downtown Miami, Florida, where the former president was scheduled to stand trial.
The Miami authorities, however, were well-prepared, having anticipated crowds of between 5,000 and 50,000 individuals.
Before entering the courthouse that day, Trump made a post saying: “ONE OF THE SADDEST DAYS IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY. WE ARE A NATION IN DECLINE!!!”
Trump announced on Thursday, June 9, 2023, that the Viden Administration had informed him of his indictment and that he was scheduled to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami, Florida the following Tuesday.
“The corrupt Biden Administration has informed my attorneys that I have been Indicted, seemingly over the Boxes Hoax, even though Joe Biden has 1850 Boxes at the University of Delaware, additional Boxes in Chinatown, D.C., with even more Boxes at the University of Pennsylvania, and documents strewn all over his garage floor where he parks his Corvette, and which is ‘secured’ by only a garage door that is paper thin, and open much of the time,” Trump wrote.
“I have been summoned to appear at the Federal Courthouse in Miami on Tuesday, at 3 PM,” He added, announcing his whereabouts to the public.
“I never thought it possible that such a thing could happen to a former President of the United States, who received far more votes than any sitting President in the History of our Country, and is currently leading, by far, all Candidates, both Democrat and Republican, in Polls of the 2024 Presidential Election. I AM AN INNOCENT MAN,” Trump continued on.
“This is indeed a DARK DAY for the United States of America. We are a Country in serious and rapid Decline, but together we will Make America Great Again,” he wrote on Truth Social.
Trump’s legal staff, including John Rowley, James Trusty, and Lindsey Halligan, were at the Department of Justice at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 12, 2023. According to a CBS news report, they were here in response to a request to confer with senior federal law enforcement officials.
Trump’s attorneys spent “just under two hours” at the Department of Justice, and Attorney General Merrick Garland did not attend the meeting.
“Trump’s legal team is frustrated with how Justice Department officials have handled attorney-client matters in recent months and would likely raise their concerns on this front during Monday’s meeting, in particular, prosecutors’ discussions of related issues in front of the grand jury,” a CBS news reporter stated.
In an op-ed created by former Harvard Law professor, Alan Dershowitz, on Substack, concludes that “ “[c]riminal indictment of former president has no legitimate basis.”
“The bottom line is that if Mr. Trump or his lawyers allege — even without his testifying — that he declassified the documents, a criminal charge of unauthorized possession of classified documents will be difficult to prove. That doesn’t mean that a prosecutor could not get a grand jury to indict this particular ham sandwich. It does mean that it’s unlikely that a conviction against Mr. Trump would be sustainable,” Dershowitz writes.
“Based on what we know, we believe that there is no legitimate basis for a criminal indictment of Mr. Trump based on the material that was found at Mar-a-Lago,” he finishes.
