According to a recent report, former President Donald Trump is using Kari Lake as a model for the type of running mate he desires, but it does not imply the position is hers.
Speculation is abundant, especially following last week’s Conservative Political Action Conference, when Lake won a straw poll for the Republican vice presidential candidate in 2024.
She topped Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who garnered 14% of the vote, and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who received 10% of the vote, according to The Hill.
Lake, who is in the midst of a legal battle over the 2022 governor’s election in Arizona — which she claims was plagued by errors — has stated that for the time being, she is concentrating on this issue and not on 2024.

Yet, Axios was ready to take such a risk in selecting three additional women as prospective VP candidates for Trump.
One is a rival for the Republican nomination: Haley, Trump’s former ambassador to the United Nations.
Axios developed a shortlist that included Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, who served as White House press secretary throughout a portion of the Trump presidency, and South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem.

In a November Op-Ed for The Washington Times, conservative writer Cheryl Chumley promoted the potential Trump-Lake ticket.
“Davos, Democrats and no-good Republicans who’d rather hang with the cocktail crowd than fight for America’s Constitution would hate a Trump-Lake match,” she wrote. CONTINUE READING…
