Former President Donald Trump did not promptly return to his Mar-a-Lago estate after being arraigned in federal court in Miami on Tuesday. Instead, he visited a local favorite.
There are numerous social media posts depicting the 45th president’s visit to Versailles Cuban Bakery, where he was showered with support.
Newsmax host Eric Bolling tweeted, “Absolutely BRILLIANT call to stop at Cafe Versailles. An awesome Cuban bakery in Miami. Calle Ocho.”

In that location, Trump was serenaded with “Happy Birthday.”
Wednesday is Trump’s 77th birthday, as well as “Flag Day” and the 248th birthday of the United States Army.

Trump responded by saying, “What a great group of people,” and said he would pay for everyone’s food in the cafe.
“Food for everyone,” Trump told the restaurant’s owner.

A modest group joined the former president in prayer.
Florida GOP Congressman Byron Donalds tweeted, “The power of PRAYER. May God bless and keep President Trump and his family.”

Jake Tapper, the presenter of CNN, decided that all the positive feedback was too much, so he instructed his control room not to show any more footage from the bakery.
“I don’t need to see any more of that. He’s trying to turn it into a spectacle and into a campaign ad. That is enough of that. We’ve seen it already,” Tapper said.
Apparently, the juxtaposition of CNN promoting the narrative, “Trump’s a very bad guy, maybe even a criminal” with all the smiling, joyful people surrounding him did not work well.
Jake Tapper asks the CNN control room to stop running footage of Trump visiting a Miami cafe right after his arraignment.

Meanwhile, Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich responded to the scene, “Incredible. This is why nobody in the Republican field can beat him. Maybe that will change, but doubtful.”

Americans, and people in general, appreciate leaders who exhibit grace under duress.
It is redolent of Ronald Reagan’s response in 1981 after he was wounded.
Please tell me you’re all Republicans, he joked to the medical personnel at George Washington University Hospital as they prepared to operate on him.
The people loved it!
In a Washington Post/ABC News survey, Reagan’s approval rating skyrocketed to 73 percent.
Clearly, what Trump endured on Tuesday was not as significant or stressful as the attempt on Reagan’s life, but the Biden administration is attempting to end the Republican’s political career.
In fact, the Justice Department has accused Trump with enough alleged document-handling offenses to keep him incarcerated for the remainder of his life.
Ridiculous!
Today, Trump demonstrated leadership and has therefore earned praise.
