It may be one of the most disturbing stories in history to witness what is happening in Shanghai, China at the moment. Certainly, great atrocities have happened in the past. There is little doubt that they have (and in China no less), but it is rare to see behind the curtain of an authoritarian regime in such stark detail.

Video clips are coming to us out of Shanghai that will make you feel sick. This has been possible through advances in cell phone technology and the use of VPNs.
A city-wide COVID-19 lockdown is being implemented by the Chinese government that goes further than anything we have seen before. It’s heartbreaking to see people caged into their homes, starving, without access to food, and their pets and cats being slaughtered on the streets.
Unfortunately, that may be the case for the lucky ones. The police are dragging others to “quarantine” centers while beating them. The question of whether they will ever hear from them again is very real.
Tucker Carlson did a comprehensive montage of what’s going on in the story on Monday evening that covers every aspect of the story. The CCP has indeed created hell on earth as he described it.

There are scenes that seem like they belong in a dystopian novel.
Wails of people trapped in their apartments as they succumb to a lack of nourishment and are left to die.
What the?? This video taken yesterday in Shanghai, China, by the father of a close friend of mine. She verified its authenticity: People screaming out of their windows after a week of total lockdown, no leaving your apartment for any reason. pic.twitter.com/iHGOO8D8Cz

If you’ve been around people with pets like dogs and cats, it’s sickening to see Chinese police systematically killing animals that have lost their owners.
Meanwhile, government drones are telling people to resist the urge to be free.
There are atrocities all around us, but we have never seen anything as horrific as this.
We are witnessing a form of tyranny that was previously the domain of science fiction. It is all playing out in real-time before our eyes.

During one clip Carlson shows, a CNN reporter describes how police are using padlocks to secure buildings from outside.
As shown in another clip, people are imprisoned in a “quarantine” center with only one toilet and without basic necessities. How can this be justified? A stupid attempt to achieve COVID-zero?
Despite all of this, it’s important to keep in mind that Chinese communists are not the only ones who employ such odious tactics.
Leana Wen, now a CNN talk show host and former CEO of Planned Parenthood, actually endorsed preventing unvaccinated individuals from leaving their homes last fall.
Even Biden himself sought to use government power to exclude the unvaccinated from society and fire them from their jobs. Padlocking someone in their apartment is a very short walk from those actions.
This is what the CCP is doing to the 26 million people of Shanghai

It’s disgusting what the Chinese are doing, but we shouldn’t forget that many Americans in mainstream positions also wanted the same thing. It was just that they preferred it with a gentler touch, and if states like Florida had not stood up, who knows what might have happened.
Up until the Biden administration altered its policy, COVID-zero had been a core objective.
Nonetheless, what is happening in China remains the most pressing matter at the moment.
Could the West finally develop a spine and impose economic penalties on the communists for their rabid abuse of human rights? Doubtful. Dr. Anthony Fauci won’t even condemn the Chinese approach to the new variant and surge.
We are seeing more chaos around the world as a result of poor leadership, and we are seeing that to a very large extent under the current administration. There is certainly more chaos on the way.
Last month, Fauci, Democrat Biden’s chief medical advisor, appeared on This Week With George Stephanopoulos and asked for more funding from Congress for vaccine research, citing the Centers for Disease Control saying that if the United States saw a significant surge from a COVID-19 variant.
Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted Fauci on Twitter over his appearance:
“Hell no. For petty tyrants like Fauci, they only have one tool in their toolbox: authoritarian restrictions. Enough is enough.”

Fauci said that this new variant might result in an increase in hospitalizations, restrictions on the public might be reinstituted, adding that he was going to stay in his job until after the Pandemic is over.
Well, that is convenient for the man who is facing some very hard questions about his actions during the COVID Pandemic.
“We’ve seen this relaxation of restrictions all across the country right now. Any reason to reverse that?” Stephanopoulos asked.
“I don’t think so George, not right now,” Fauci replied. “I don’t see us going back into any more really very strict of restrictions.” Then he cautioned, “But you always have to have the kind of flexibility: Remember when the CDC came out with the kind of modifications of their metrics which would lead to the guidelines of what regions or counties in the country should have a masking indoor? They made it very clear that as you pull back on restrictions if we do see a significant surge, particularly one that might result in an increase in hospitalizations, we have to be prepared to pivot and perhaps reinstitute some of those restrictions.”
