In a shocking monologue, Tucker Carlson warned of “history-changing events” that are taking place at the same time as energy and food shortages, and that society is collapsing despite mass ignorance of it.
As a result of soaring energy costs and countries’ inability to develop their own energy sources, Carlson pointed out that “Europe is descending into poverty.”
“Energy is the key to a functioning society, and the elites don’t care,” Carlson said, adding, “Or maybe they do care — and they’re making things worse on purpose.”
“You can reach a place in your society where the people in charge and their lapdogs in the media become so completely disconnected from the concerns of actual people, become so totally uninterested in the lives of citizens, that society becomes very volatile, and we are fast approaching that point,” Tucker emphasized.
Across Europe, Carlson said, governments have warned of severe power outages and crackdowns on energy use while funneling billions from their own economies to Ukraine.
“This is not just bad policy, this makes no sense,” said Carlson, adding, “It only makes sense if the goal is to completely destroy the west.”
“Here’s the weird thing: by any actual reality-based measure, Vladimir Putin is not losing the war in Ukraine,” Carlson said as he denounced European leaders for levying sanctions on Russia.
“He is winning the war in Ukraine and Joe Biden looks at that as we won’t stop until you proffer an unconditional surrender.”
“This isn’t bad policy. This is nuts. It makes no sense. In fact, it only makes sense if the goal is to completely destroy the west in order to make way for Chinese global dominance. What would be the other explanation for this behavior?”
Carlson discussed the European energy shortage and its impact on the economy and people on the show, insisting that “green energy cannot replace” oil and gas anytime soon.
“Everything depends on cheap energy, but Europe no longer has it, and as a result, things are falling apart very quickly,” he declared.
According to the anchor, fossil fuels remain the “key to civilization”, and he added that “so-called green energy is not close, is nowhere near replacing gas and oil and coal.”
In his view, those who talk about replacing fossil fuels with renewable energy are merely posturing.
“It means poverty, and the people pushing the Green New Deal must have known that all along. They don’t actually believe climate change is an imminent threat,” Tucker said as he went on to state that the biggest threat to the planet is from “global cooling”.
“The Europeans have discovered that the real threat to human civilization is not global warming. It never was global warming,” he continued. “The real threat to people is global cooling, otherwise known as winter. Far more people freeze to death every year than die of heat.”
According to him, the problem is not a supply problem but rather one caused by “the war in Ukraine”, and that European leaders were aware there would be “energy shortages” when they responded by “imposing sanctions.”
Bringing an end to the war in Ukraine would solve the energy crisis, he said. “Reestablish energy flows into Europe and save the global economy including ours,” he said as he criticized Biden and UK Prime Minister Johnson for expending money on “Ukrainian oligarchs.”
Back in April, two months after Russia invaded Ukraine, Tucker was critical of President Joe Biden’s administration’s attempts to convince people that “Putin’s price hike” is to blame for the widening inflation and rise in gas prices.
“Putin’s price hike? So I guess the question is how much dumb propaganda do they think we’re going to believe? To think it’s Putin’s price hike, you’d have to be like a moron. Our central bank has made the dollar near worthless and they’ve been doing this for like more than a decade,” Carlson argued.
“You remember Joe Biden’s State of the Union address last month in which he promised he was going to do to Vladimir Putin what he did Corn Pop, he was going to beat him with a chain and destroy the Russian economy and crash the ruble,” he continued.
“It would’ve been nice if Biden said I’m going to get Russian troops out of Ukraine and that will help everybody and everybody, including us, would have applauded. But he can’t do that. So instead, he’s going to destroy Russia’s economy but he couldn’t do that even. It turns out the Russian economy is based on commodities, it’s not based on finance, it’s not like our economy,” he added.
“Biden has never had a real job so he did not know the difference. But it turns out the ruble has bounced back. In fact, it’s slightly more valuable than it was on the day that Russia invaded Ukraine. The economic situation in the United States by contrast is deteriorating fast. Here’s Joe Biden’s publicist today announcing that inflation is about to get worse and Vladimir Putin did it.”
“Putin’s price hike? So I guess the question is how much dumb propaganda do they think we’re going to believe? To think it’s Putin’s price hike, you’d have to be like a moron. Our central bank has made the dollar near worthless and they’ve been doing this for like more than a decade. So if you think it is Putin’s price hike, I guess they do expect we do think that, but the bottom line is Russia invades Ukraine. It’s appalling. Everyone agrees. But our response to it, does it hurt Putin? No. It hurts the United States. We’re the real victims,” he asserted.
