Tucker Carlson Seen for First Time After Fox News Departure – He Couldn’t Look Happier

Published on

As pundits and politicians debated the end of the Tucker Carlson era at Fox News, the man at the center of the tempest stated that he is enjoying the pleasures of real life.

“Retirement is going great so far,” Carlson told the Daily Mail on Tuesday evening.

A correspondent from the British outlet located him in front of his $5.5 million property in Boca Grande, Florida.

“I haven’t eaten dinner with my wife on a weeknight in seven years,” Carlson said as he and his wife, Susan, rode in a golf cart to dinner, a picture of unfettered mirth for all to see.

Before leaving inquiries behind, Carlson provided a humorous response regarding his future intentions. “Appetizers plus entree.”

The former Fox News host’s day did not consist entirely of racing around and giggling. According to the Daily Mail, he conferred with Carlson’s former executive producer, Justin Wells, who was also dismissed along with him, earlier on Tuesday.

Susan Carlson walked the family dog and stated that no in-depth interview was imminent.

“No, these are private discussions, it’s nothing like that,” she stated, despite the allegation that she was enraged with Fox News for firing her husband from his $20 million-per-year position.

The former anchor of “Tucker Carlson Tonight” is not likely to join a new network until he receives his exit compensation from Fox News, according to the Daily Mail, despite the media’s saturation with reports of job offers.

Responses to Carlson’s dismissal continued to flood in.

Since neither Fox News nor Carlson have provided an official explanation, the reasons for the dismissal remain unknown.

Some reports have cited the Fox News settlement with Dominion Voting Systems regarding its 2020 election coverage as a catalyst, while others have emphasized the complaints of former producer Abby Grossberg regarding the work environment on Carlson’s program.

According to a report in Vanity Fair, Carlson’s adoption of religion may have prompted Fox Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch to fire him. The report also noted that Carlson’s dismissal has prompted a backlash within Fox News.

The report by Gabriel Sherman said the 92-year-old mogul has made a “string of erratic decisions” that have raised “questions about Murdoch’s leadership of his media empire.”

“It’s like the King is senile but no one wants to say anything,” an unidentified source at Fox reportedly told Sherman.
