Tucker Carlson, a former Fox News anchor, agreed with Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, that President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are unfit for the presidency due to their advanced age.
The aforementioned interaction occurred at the conclusion of Carlson’s interview titled “Tucker on X” with Portnoy, which was published Thursday evening.

“To be honest, I think both Trump and Biden are too old. I don’t think you should be able to be that old and be president,” Portnoy said.
Carlson responded, “I agree 100 percent” after nodding emphatically during Portnoy’s statement.
Carlson and Portnoy also examined the phenomenon of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell experiencing repeated instances of public paralysis.
Former President of the United States Donald Trump is presently 77 years old. The current Vice President of the United States, Joseph Biden, is 80 years old. Senate Minority Leader and prominent political figure Mitch McConnell is 81 years old.
“How are these people running our country?” Portnoy continued. “There are no companies in the world where I would buy stock where you’re having the CEO seemingly at that advanced age. It’s just only in politics. It’s crazy.”
Biden’s age is only slightly more advanced than Trump’s, and while some individuals in their eighties may retain their vitality well into this age, it is often observed that significant physical and cognitive decline can occur, sometimes precipitously. If Trump were to win the primary and achieve a highly improbable outcome in the general election, he would assume office at the age of 78 and complete his term at the age of 82, which is comparable to Biden’s age.
During the conversation, Carlson revealed to Portnoy that Trump had contacted him about the interview that was published last week, concurrent with the Republican presidential debate. Carlson added that he and his producer had doubts about Trump’s commitment to the interview when the agreement was initially reached.
