According to the BBC’s Kian Sharifi, the account associated with Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s website under the username @KhamenieSite now redirects to a page that reads “account suspended” after it allegedly posted an animated video showing former President Trump being targeted by a robot and a drone while playing golf in Florida.

The account got permanently suspended by the Twitter team on Saturday.
Twitter has permanently banned @KhameneiSite for "violating our ban evasion policy", a Twitter spokesperson told BBC Monitoring today.
The ban comes after the account tweeted an animation targeting Trump for killing Soleimani. https://t.co/pZSpinVEXR pic.twitter.com/oQRJgt0IT0

According to a statement in the video, referring to Iranian Lt. Gen. Qassem Soleimani’s assassination, “Solemimani’s murder and the one who ordered it will pay the ultimate price.”
A Twitter spokeswoman confirmed that the account had been permanently banned for breaking the company’s “ban evasion policy,” which specifies that accounts that attempt to avoid interim bans will be permanently barred from the service.
The website of Iran's SL Khamenei has chosen this animation as the best entry in a competition to mark the second anniversary of Soleimani's killing.

“Previous criticism has been leveled at the social media website for failing to suspend accounts linked to Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who has used violent rhetoric against specific individuals and groups of people in the past, while suspending or banning the accounts of prominent American politicians for reasons related to misinformation,” Wayne Dupree concluded in his op-ed regarding the issue.
