Two Top Lifelong Dems Send Shockwave By Suddenly Switching Parties

The Democratic Party moving farther and farther left is making some Democrats rethink their political position.

The demographic list of those affected by the state of the country grows longer with each crisis.

One crisis is the southern border, where illegal immigrants flow in larger and larger numbers.

In addition to the disaster at the southern border and international concerns, the rising costs of everyday life have gone unnoticed by none.

Some members of Congress see this as a good time to exit.

Fifty-five members of Congress are not running for re-election this year, which breaks down to 6 U.S. Senators and 49 House lawmakers.

Of those 49 House lawmakers who will not run for re-election, 32 of them are Democrats.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is facing serious political headwinds heading into November’s midterm elections.

Pelosi has a slim majority in the U.S. House of Representatives and if Republicans win back the lower chamber, it’s already being reported that she will retire.

This is a national issue facing Democrats.

Democratic operatives have been saying for months the party is cruising to a blowout in the fall thanks to a range of factors.

“It’s bad,” an anonymous Democratic strategist said. “You have an energy crisis that’s paralyzing and inflation is at a 40-year high and we’re heading into a recession. The problem is simple. The American people have lost confidence in him.”

“Everyone needs to come to terms with the reality that we’re going to get slaughtered in November,” the strategist continued. “That’s a fact. His polling has gotten worse, not better. It’s indicative of the fact that people have lost confidence in his leadership. There’s nothing they’re going to be able to do.”

New data show that Americans by the hundreds of thousands have switched to the Republican Party.

The switch in party affiliations came over the course of the past 12 months, as policies enacted by President Joe Biden and spending bills passed by the Democrat-controlled Congress have been roundly blamed for rampant inflation that has seen record-high average gas and diesel fuel prices, rising food and rent costs, and an enduring supply chain crisis as well as a chaotic, porous southwestern border.

Interestingly, Republicans are gaining a lot of ground in the suburbs of both large and medium-sized cities, “where voters who supported President Biden in 2020 are struggling with inflation and growing increasingly critical of Democratic social issues,” Fox News reported.

The “middle class,” those who work hard and are trying to gain ground are affected by every rise in the cost of daily needs.

Perhaps nowhere has the shift in Republican voter registration been as significant as in Florida, where the GOP now outnumbers registered Democrats for the first time in the state’s history.

Gov. Ron DeSantis announced in April that Republicans had amassed a 120,000 voter edge over Democrats in the state.

“When I got elected governor, there were almost 300,000 more registered Democrats in the state of Florida than Republicans. Today, there are over 120,000 more registered Republicans, and we never had more Republicans in the history of the state until I became governor,” DeSantis said while signing election integrity legislation.

Nowhere are the issues hitting home more than the communities near the southern border, where citizens face the rising crime and issues arising from the flood of illegal immigrants.

Now two judges who deal with those issues daily in those communities are taking a stand for conservative values in politics.

Seeing the value in actions by Republican Gov. Abbott concerning the border, they are speaking out.

Two life-long Democrats are now running for re-election as Republicans as the border crisis worsens under President Joe Biden, Conservative Brief reports.

In a report from The Center Square’s Bethany Blankley, Terrell County Judge Dale Carruthers and Presidio County Judge Cinderela Guevara — two females in Texas border communities — said they are sick and tired of Biden’s open border policies destroying their small communities.

“The single reason they switched parties, they say, is because the Biden administration’s policies led to more than 2 million people coming through the southern border from over 150 countries. The costs of crime stemming from an open border – increased trafficking and smuggling of people, weapons, and guns – to their communities has prompted them to say, “enough is enough” and do something about it,” Blankley wrote.

At a campaign event, Carruthers said, “I come from a Hispanic heritage, which was prominently Democrat. The chaos at the border and everything that’s been going on make me realize that I needed to switch parties. I am very happy to be a Republican and to represent this great state of Texas as a judge.”

“I’ve been a Democrat since 1992,” Guevara said. “I’ve always ran as a Democrat and this is my first year to run as a Republican. I’m very grateful for Gov. Abbott for all he has done for Texas and continues to do for Texas, especially with our border crisis.”
