Patterson shot five individuals, all females ranging in age from 25 to 71, at 4:39 p.m. EST. The victim’s age at death was 39. Patterson is still at large, and police have recovered the stolen vehicle he used to flee. Patterson is a former Coast Guard member. According to the Coast Guard, Deion Patterson “enlisted in the Coast Guard in July 2018 and most recently served as a Second-Class Electrician’s Mate. In January of 2023, he was released from active duty.
Atlanta police offer a $10,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
Deion Patterson, 24, has been identified as the gunman in Atlanta; he is still at large, armed, and dangerous.
In a gunshot in Atlanta, one person has died and three others have been hospitalized. The suspect has not been apprehended. Atlanta police affirm that the individual depicted in the surveillance images is the main suspect.
Anyone in the area is asked to secure their building and shelter in place. Anyone not in the area is asked to stay away.

According to Atlanta Police, there is an active gunman in the 1100 block of Peachtree Street NW in Midtown Atlanta.
The police department reports that numerous individuals have been injured. Everyone in the neighborhood is exhorted to promptly lock their doors and seek shelter. We ask that everyone outside the immediate area refrain from entering.
