According to a memo published by Louisiana Republican Attorney General Jeff Landry, the White House pressured Facebook to restrict Fox News personality Tucker Carlson for stating that COVID-19 vaccinations “don’t work”
“Since we’ve been on the phone — the top post about vaccines today is [T]ucker Carlson saying they don’t work. Yesterday it was Tomi Lehren [sic] saying she won’t take one,” White House Director of Digital Strategy Rob Flaherty allegedly said in an email to an anonymous Facebook employee dated April 14, 2021, which was tweeted by White House Press Secretary Robert Landry.
Landry and Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration in federal court on May 5, alleging that government personnel conspired with social media firms to stifle discourse on the 2020 presidential election, the COVID-19 epidemic, and other topics.
In July, the court ordered the Biden administration to disclose contacts between government officials and tech businesses.

“This is exactly why I want to know what ‘Reduction’ actually looks like — if ‘reduction’ means ‘pumping our most vaccine hesitant audience with [T]ucker Carlson saying it doesn’t work’ then … I’m not sure it’s reduction!” Flaherty continued in the document released by Landry.
According to the document released by Landry, the anonymous Facebook employee replied to Flaherty that they were “running this down now.”
Landry’s article made no mention of how the paper was obtained.
The White House, Facebook, and Tucker Carlson did not immediately reply to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
